This is an excellent product for cleaning oil off hard surfaces. PES-51 is listed on the US EPA National Contingency Plan and has been used for over twenty years to clean oil contamination from booms, skimmers, vessels, piers, and rocky shoreline impacted by oil spills. Most recently, BP selected its use in the Deepwater Horizon spill to decon equipment and vessels impacted by the spill. The US Coast Guard picked PES-51 as the ONLY cleaning product to be used over water because of its effectiveness and insolubility in water.
